Children should always follow their parents’ advice. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?
The parents are the first teachers for their children because they know better than them. Children are the blessing in a family where they will grow up to become teenagers, adults, and parents, which is a cycle of life. Children should always follow their parents’ advice because they are like a blank or plain drawing paper who do not yet know what is good or not for them, so they should do whatever their parents say. In addition, parents always want the best for their children. (Belinda & Ambo)
Some people say that life may teach them to live independently. But I think children should follow their parents' advice because they do not have enough life experience such as how to be polite to older people, and what things children need to improve. For example, how to find a good church for them to stay in faith, to read more books, these things require direction and advice from parents. (Robby, Anton & Yosep)
Parents want the best for their children because they love them very much, their love for their children never ends. We know that this is a natural relationship between children and parents. Parents also want their children to be successful in the future, this is part of their responsibility as guardians. They believe that children are assets of the future. For example, in the future children can get a good education, have a good career, be happy and prosperous. (Marsel, Yambe)
I believe that it is best for children to obey their parents’ advice because they have no experience and parents want the best for their children throughout their lives. It has been proven that ninety percent of good or bad experiences come from what parents usually teach their children. In my opinion, advice and education from parents is important so that children can become wise in the future. (Rosa & Febe)
